Bio
Born and raised in Bologna, he had his first approach to the mountains thanks to his parents. It is precisely with his father's equipment (Silvretta 404 and huge boots) that he begins making the first trips with friends. The first ski mountaineering race was the Tre Rifugi in 2003, in which he participated in tandem with Macagno, at the time his partner in courses to become an Alpine Guide. The races begin to become a constant, up to the point where he met Massimo Dondio, Captain of the Laspo Team, who invited him to join the team. He always tries to do his best and this has been the right spirit to achieve important results: third at the Italian Team Championships and Top Class Teams in 2013, third at the 2014 Italian championships in the relay and in the team category respectively, second and third at the 2015 Italian Championships always in the team and relay categories. This is followed by an eighth place at the 2011/2012 Grande Course, a fifth in the 2013/2014 year, seventh in 2015, a Dolomiti Cup, two Parravicini, two Canin, second and third places at the Sellaronda. A Pitturina, a Marmotta Open, a Mondolè Ski Alp Open, a Vanoise trophy, a Laserzlauf, a Rampegada, a Acquarone Trophy, the Val Tartano and the Vetan for two consecutive years.
Interview
1) Which is your favourite place for skiing?
Certainly the Dolomites and in particular the Marmolada and the Sella group.
2) Which is your specialization?
I don't emerge in a particular specialty. I am quite homogeneous, that is low in all ... :-P But if I have to say one of my specialties will be that I have good endurance in long races!
3) When and why did you start Skimountaineering?
I started as a child, tired of life on the slopes.
4) Do you have a pre- race routine?
I try to warm up if possible from the side where the last descent comes.
5) What's in the air?
Long workouts for the Grand Course and a ski linking of the four most famous 3,000 of the Dolomites.
