Born from the continuous research process in our R&D departments, EVO SHELL™ styles represent La Sportiva’s effort in bringing to the market performant yet eco-friendly products. It is a constant and ambitious evolution that needs in depth research and trustworthy partners to succeed and assure quality, durability, and sustainability.

To us in La Sportiva, evolution or eco-lution, means developing not only products meeting the need of athletes and mountain enthusiasts but also reducing our environmental impacts. The new EVO SHELL™ hard-shell styles are therefore 100% recycled, PFC and PTFEfree.

La Sportiva agreed to actively support this cause contributing, with each EVO Shell garment produced, to the project “1004 · Forest protection Kasigau Wildlife Corridor” in Kenya. This forest is a section of dry forest and savanna in the Kasigau Wildlife Corridor and is home to endangered species such as lions, zebras, and parrots as well as countless species of birds. Every day during their seasonal migration, 2000 African elephants cross the area. However, this forest is facing massive deforestation and slash-and-burn practices. The project was chosen as the Best Offsetting Project in Environmental Finance’s 8th voluntary carbon poll in 2017 contributing to the reach of UN Sustainable Development Goals.
