La Sportiva unveils its Spring/Summer 2024 collection at OutDoor by ISPO
05/06/2023
From 4 to 6 June, the Trentino company will be in Munich to discuss the next spring/summer season, showcasing the latest technology and innovative materials for both footwear and apparel. In terms of sustainability, La Sportiva's main goals are extending the product life cycle and contributing to the circular economy.

Founded in Val di Fiemme, La Sportiva is a world leader in the production of footwear and technical clothing for outdoor activities. The company is returning to Munich for OutDoor by ISPO to present a preview of the new Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Building on its core values of tradition, expertise and passion, La Sportiva is looking to the future, implementing the latest technology to develop an innovative new collection that puts the environment and the planet first.
There are new additions to every product category, including climbing, which represents La Sportiva's core business. In fact, the company's climbing products are celebrated around the world for their Italian craftsmanship and manufacturing. For spring/summer 2024, La Sportiva is reworking the entire No-Edge line, which uses proprietary technology to offer climbers a more fluid, intuitive, natural and fun climbing experience. As the name implies, the shoes are constructed without edges, allowing for greater sensitivity and adaptability to different footholds in both indoor and outdoor settings.
The iconic Future, Genius, Mantra and Gript styles, reimagined with a fresh aesthetic, are joined by the new Mandala model, the most supportive option in the No-Edge range. Created for modern climbers, every detail of the shoes is designed to optimise performance on even the most complex routes.
The latest additions to the Mountain Running® range, Prodigio and Levante, are also breaking new ground.
Designed for ultra-distance running, the Prodigio shoes are set apart by the unique XFLow™ foam in the midsole, designed and developed to guarantee maximum cushioning, support a fluid gait and provide excellent bounce. Extensively tested in the laboratory and by a large team of athletes and testers, these shoes are destined to become a must-have in their category.
Levante, on the other hand, was born from a lengthy collaboration with the athletes on the La Sportiva team, who brought a great deal of field experience to the table. They were able to explore and explain their technical needs in order to create the most targeted product possible. Comfortable and snug, lightweight and supportive, cushioned and responsive, made from a combination of sustainable materials such as XFLow™ foam and Trail Rocker™ soles, the Levante shoes are an athlete-proof option for long-distance running.
La Sportiva has also reworked the Bushido, an iconic skyrunning model that will be ten years old in 2024. The Bushido III shoes combine a new graphic design with their renowned comfort, precise fit, and impressive stability during movement. They are more lightweight and breathable, with the addition of a "wide fit" option for a more generous cut.
In terms of approach pieces, all eyes are on the TX4 line, which boasts three new options: the essential TX4 Evo shoes have been joined by a GORE-TEX version and the GTX mid-top shoes. An iconic piece beloved by outdoor enthusiasts, the TX4 has retained its signature fit, comfort, protective mesh fabric and Vibram
Megagrip compound, but has been upgraded with a revolutionary new sole. The new and improved Evo version is more robust, ensuring greater grip on soft terrain, with a modified heel, which is more pronounced to offer improved grip on the descent. Finally, the most exciting new feature is undoubtedly the Resole Platform, designed to extend the product life cycle.
For the Mountain Hiking category, the new additions are the Aequilibrium Trek GTX and Aequilibrium Hike Gtx. Equipped with Double-Heel technology, inspired by mountaineering, each piece is designed to guarantee greater comfort and protection, reducing fatigue during the climbing phase and guaranteeing greater stability and "braking" during the downhill phase. Ideal for trekking and backpacking, both models can be resoled, representing a new milestone in a rapidly evolving sector.
When it comes to apparel, functionality and the search for increasingly sustainable materials and processes have seen the biggest developments. At OutDoor by ISPO, La Sportiva is mapping out its growth path: for SS24, organic cotton is joined for the first time by recycled cotton, and synthetic materials with recycled fibres are found in 86% of the garments in the collection. These changes represent an important step towards the future of La Sportiva, where recycling is the norm and the product life cycle is even longer.
The exclusive EVO SHELL membrane, as tried and tested in the Autumn/Winter garments, fits perfectly into this sustainable business model. With a water column rating of 20,000, it is 100% waterproof and windproof, 100% free from PTFE and PFCs, highly breathable, and used in high-performance and aesthetically pleasing technical clothing. Evo Shell is also a single-component membrane, made from 100% recycled materials, and is therefore fully recyclable. Thanks to the CO2 emission compensation project implemented during the production, packaging and transport phases, supported by ClimatePartner, La Sportiva's Evo Shell garments are also carbon neutral.
The Discover Shell Jacket in the X-Cursion summer collection also uses the Evo Shell membrane to great effect. Additionally, this range has brought back the L4 insulation layer in the Across Lite Jacket and Across Lite Vest, which are made from recycled materials and designed to be folded up and carried in a rucksack without taking up too much space. Moreover, thanks to the innovative Vapovent™Light technology, these products have excellent thermal properties, although they do not have any padding.
The Alpine Tech line, a highly technical collection of mountaineering clothing, which was presented for the first time during the last edition of ISPO, is returning for SS2024 with the same slogan – "Performance Uncompromised" – and the same value and results. The summer version of the line draws on two concepts, "light and fast", to offer high-performance technical garments to wear in the mountains.
The Climbing collection has evolved to keep pace with the sport itself. Climbing Competition is a new specialised line born from La Sportiva's collaboration with Olympic athletes, reflecting the company's commitment to climbing and its values, sense of community, and development opportunities. In terms of outdoor garments, the new Sierra Rock Trousers, made from 85% recycled cotton and reinforced with hemp fibres, represent the perfect blend of comfort and functionality: a breathable and well-equipped piece with a versatile and stylish edge.
The range of accessories for Mountain Running® has also expanded, with a specific focus on short-, medium- and ultra-distance running: the storage bands and 5 and 10 L trail vests are designed to offer maximum comfort and quick drying for both quick training sessions and adventures over 50 km.
All the new additions will be presented at OutDoor by ISPO, at MOC – Messe München event centre | Pavilion H3.202.
