Bio


I am Nico Molina, I am 19 years old and I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in a town called Dúrcal. From a young age I have liked all kinds of sports in which I have always liked to give my best. With 10 years I had my first steps through the high peaks of Sierra Nevada, although at that time I played football and practiced BMX, at 14 I started running for the first time and I realized from the first moment that it was a world that I was passionate about, since my beginnings I started training every day because I loved spending hours in the mountains and little by little I got hooked to make this a way of life, first I spent the whole year running and since I was 16 when I had my first junior world gold, since that year I spent the winter on skis, that let me know something new that I love as much as when I met the mountain. Currently I spend the winter in Sierra Nevada adding hours of skimo and combining it studying degree of physical-sports activities. My family, technification centers, coach, friends, my club Cerro del Caballo and La Sportiva allow me to dream every day doing what I like.

1) Which is your favorite place for running?
 My favorite place to run is the Sierra Nevada mountains and especially the Pico del Caballo being the 3000 closest to home
2) Which is your specialization?
 I like to be versatile and to be able to compete in any type of career, whether it's vertical, skyrace or any competition, although I am currently moving through the short-medium distance.
3) Do you have a pre-race routine?
 I like to have everything in my hands ready before competing and feel that everything is controlled to rest well and concentrate 4) When and why did you start running?
With 14-15 years, I am passionate about giving everything I do, I can't find a reason, but I know what I need to be happy right now
5) Which are your La Sportiva favorite shoes?
 I have always been very faithful to Helios, since last year kaptiva has been overcome and is my chosen shoe. On a vertical I bet for lightness with VK.
6) What's in the air?
o They will continue to be years of progression and learning with the whole team around me, I am very excited.
