Bio

”The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."

Eleanor Roosevelt

I was born in Premana, a village in the province of Lecco where mountain sports are widely practiced, in fact I started from an early age with running in summer and alpine skiing in winter. At 12, I decided to "combine" the race and the descent by starting to do ski mountaineering first with my dad's equipment, and thanks to the passion born immediately and with the help of the A.S. Premana I approached the world of racing. In the youth categories I achieved good results by participating in the cadets category at the 2017 World Championships in Alpago-Piancavallo, and the same year I won the General Italian Cup. In the Junior category I got a 2nd place in the Italian Sprint Championships, a 9th and 6th place in the Individual and in the Sprint World Cup in Aussois, a 6th and 10th place in the Individual and in the World Championship in Berchtesgaden.

Interview

1) Which is your favourite place for skiing?
My favourite place to ski is Pizzo Tre Signori and the nearby mountains that offer beautiful landscapes both in summer and in winter.
2) Which is your specialization?
The Individual with beautiful tough descents, where I express myself at best. Lately I am improving also in the Sprint.
3) When and why did you start Skimountaineering?
I started at 12 because after years of alpine skiing and running I wanted to try something different, and I was immediately passionate.
4) Do you have a pre- race routine?
I try to concentrate and study the path and I am meticulous in the preparation of the materials. In the morning of the race I listen to music to relieve tension.
5) How many meters of altitude do you do in one season?
I don't do much difference in altitude, I prefer quality training; in one season I do about 90.000 meters.
6) What's in the air?
In the next few years with the change of category I will start competing with the under23 and seniors where the level is really high and my goal is to remain competitive in some formats such as the sprint. I also intend to participate in some great classics such as the circuit of La Grande Course.
