Vertical Up: the only up winter circuit has started last Saturday in Hinterstoder

On Saturday, 07 January 2017, exactly at 18:00 the starting signal was given in the finish area for the second Hinterstoder Vertical Up. First stage of the Vertical challenge that will stop in 5 mythical places of the alpine ski world cup in 3 different Countries trying to reach the top vertically and as quickly as possible.

The “kicker” to the whole story is the rules– in fact, there are none! The choice of equipment is open so long as everything is powered by your own muscles (no motors)!

For this first stage, almost 250 starters accepted the challenge to overcome the world cup course with a length of 2.800 of the original Hannes-Trinkl-Worldcup-Track, which spans 2,750 meters and 750 vertical meters.

Winner of the speed class, Andrea Mayr for women and Christian Hoffmann for men.

Next stop in VAL GARDENA-GRÖDEN, on the original track of Saslong Worldcup-Track, on Saturday 21st January 2017, 6:30 p.m.
