Now in their third iteration, the iconic Ultra Raptor 3 hiking shoes are as versatile as they are technical. Whether pursuing a summit, tackling a long-distance trek or hitting local trails at the weekend, these shoes are an adaptable bit of kit to take you there.
The durable, breathable ripstop upper is reinforced with a rubber toe cap and rand to protect against rocks and roots. The midsole combines a soft material with a more structured layer under the heel for increased support. And the collar is designed with an integrated gaiter to keep out stones, gravel and other debris.
A FriXion® White compound outsole with Impact Brake System™ technology provides outstanding grip for uphill traction and downhill control. Flex grooves along the sole boost freedom of movement for scrambling, while a TPU heel counter adds stability with every step.
The Ultra Raptor III shoes are tough all-rounders made to help you explore.

The raptor 2 was the perfect shoe which i wanted to buy again but its not available anymore... so i had to buy the raptor 3 assuming it would be the same or better. the build quality is definitely worse. the design is also less appealing. but the worst thing is they fit differently than the raptor 2. First weeks of walking i had to wear blister plasters all the time to try and avoid blisters (which i didn't need with the raptor 2) the heel of the shoe has a weird shape making me grow calluses. very disappointed with my purchase, i would not recommend to someone coming from the Raptor 2.

Il prodotto è buono, forse troppo evidente ai bordi della suola e della punta di gomma esterna. Lo "sperone" davanti è troppo duro e questa durezza purtroppo si percepisce anche dall'interno.

As expected trainers were as advertised and sizing on always up size by half is it you are normally an 8 order an 8.5

The product was excellent but sizing was too small so returned.
I followed the size chart but will have to size up 0.5 next time.
The material was excellent and seemed very robust. The sole was solid and looked and felt durable. The colourway was delightful.

Bon grip, sensation de sécurité sur les appuis, semelles un peu plus rigides que l'UR 2 mais attendue, plus typée rando.
Bien respirante mais je n'ai pas encore fait de grandes randonnées.

Calzature eccezionali, le mie prime non GTX (possiedo ancora Ultra Raptor 2 Leather GTX e Ultra Raptor 2 Mid GTX). Molto traspirabili e comode, avvolgenti, grip eccezionale su pietre e traversi, ottimo lo sperone a protezione delle dita e la ghetta per evitare che foglie o sassi si infilino all'interno

My 3rd pair of raptors and these are the best so far. Very comfortable and supportive. Easier to clean than earlier versions. I love them.

La Sportiva Ultra Raptor III
This has been my dream pair of shoes for a long time, so I was really excited to finally get them with the new model.
Overall, this is a n execelent pair of shoes with solid build quality and design.
I ordered size 44.5, which is my standard size across all my shoes. The first impression was very positive — the shoes felt comfortable and well-made right out of the box.
However, after wearing them for 1–2 hours, I started to feel soreness in my feet. In particular, the upper area near my right little toe feels stiff and uncomfortable. This makes me think the fit might not be ideal, even though I chose my usual size.
Unfortunately, I cannot exchange them anymore since I already used the shoes and no longer have the box. I currently live in Istanbul, and the purchase was made online by my wife while she was in the Netherlands, which makes returns difficult.
Conclusion:
Good quality shoes, but sizing/fit may not suit everyone — especially around the toe box. If possible, I recommend trying them on before buying.

Mes Aequilibrium Hike GTX et mes Ultra Raptor 3 sont, de loin, les meilleures chaussures de marche que j’ai possédées jusqu’à présent. Dès les premières sorties, j’ai eu l’impression qu’elles avaient été conçues spécialement pour mes pieds : un confort incroyable, un maintien parfait et une sensation de « seconde peau » que je n’avais jamais ressentie auparavant.
Que ce soit sur des sentiers techniques, en randonnée longue distance ou même en usage quotidien, elles sont tout simplement parfaites. Bravo et merci pour ce niveau de performance et de confort !
