Bio

Nalle Hukkataival Hukkataival was born on September 8th, 1986 in Helsinki, Finland and first started climbing at the age of 12 at a local gym. He soon became a very strong climber, but because climbing was limited to artificial holds, he stopped climbing for a year. He rediscovered climbing in its purest form, on rock, at a crag not far from home and it is then that his passion for climbing starts and will soon lead him to become National bouldering champion.
Up to age of 18 he travelled around Europe to take part in indoor competitions and in a few years won the Rockmaster title in Arco, finished second in the European championships, and in 2010 won the IMS Cup and the Tierra Boulder Battle.
He later decides to leave the competition scene dedicate his time to outdoor bouldering. He has repeated and opened some of the hardest boulder routes around the world. Worthy of note is his opening of highball “Living Large” in Rocklands (8C - still to be repeated) and his repetition of Goia (8c +) in Varazze. At the moment he is working in the opening of two incredible difficult projects: the Lappnor and Sisu Project.
