World Championship Alpago-Piancavallo 2017: discover the La Sportiva athletes at the start line

A lot of La Sportiva athletes are competing in Friuli and Veneto starting from Friday for reaching the world championship titles.

p>From the 23rd of February to the 3rd of March, first Alpiano and then Piancavallo will be the locations of several races: sprint, vertical and relay. Many La Sportiva athletes from 25 different countries will join the races:

Among the italian athletes we first find Damiano Lenzi, who just won the Transcavallo 17, Michele Boscacci, winner of the World Cup, Nadir Maguet and Elena Nicolini. Pietro Lanfranchi and William Boffelli will take part in the team competition. Henri Aymonod and Mara Martin represent respectively the Espoir and Junior categories.

French William Bon Mardion, captain of the skialp team La Sportiva, will take part in the competition with his compatriots Valentine Favre and Axelle Mollaret.

Switzerland has its own champions, too: Iwan Arnold, Werner Marti and Jenny Fiechter. Slovenian new national champion Nejc Kuhar will be accompanied by Luka Kovačič at the start line, compeeting in all the races.
Directly from the La Sportiva Mountain attak Team, Verena Streitberger and Maximilian Kurz wil lbe in Alpago defending the Austrian colors.

The World Championship organization has planned the opening ceremony on Thursday, February 23, at 6 pm. The Individual race will be on Friday for the major categories and on Saturday for Espoir and Junior.

On Sunday morning will take place the Team competition . On Tuesday the Sprint Race. The Vertical race for all the categories has been planned for Wednesday. The last day of competition is Thursday with the Relay Race.

The whole team La Sportiva will be at Alpago to support its athletes , to whom it wishes the most wonderful week of skialp and great results.
