WHO WE ARE
Jacopo Larcher - Strange Heroes
The brand from Trentino, that celebrates 90 years of history in 2018, opens its fifth mono brand store in Liguria, the historic epicentre of climbing in Italy and Europe.
La Sportiva, world leader in the production of outdoor clothing and footwear, extends its brand experience to most important climbing locations in Italy and Europe. The Trentino brand thus continues in its strategy to be present with its own 100% La Sportiva stores in Europe’s most important climbing venues, confirming its leadership position in the sport climbing sector, a rapidly growing discipline in urban centres too thanks to the ever-increasing diffusion of indoor climbing gyms.
Giulia Delladio, Head of Global Retail says” The project started two years ago: we were looking for the right partner to open a new store in an area of fundamental importance for the climbing world in Italy, like Arco. Here there are some of the routes that have made the history of climbing and it is particularly symbolic to inaugurate our store in the year in which La Sportiva celebrates its first 90 years of history”. “The choice to open in the most important climbing spots in Europe is perfectly in line with what is still the soul and core business of the company: climbing. As for Arco, Cavalese, Ziano and Rodellar, the new store will transmit 100% our values and our brand experience” – concludes sales manager Enrico Carniel.
The franchise will be managed by the owners of Rock Store, a shop that has until now been a reference for the town of Finale: in this way La Sportiva avails itself of trusted collaborators and great experts in the sector: “It’s a great satisfaction but also a great responsibility to bring to Liguria the brand experience created by the Delladio family over the years: we already feel part of this great family and this, I believe, is essential to becoming successful in this ambitious project” – says owner Marco Panizza.
And so the expansion of the brand born and still operating in the mountains for the Dolomites continues as it is about to celebrate 90 years of history in 2018 with a major celebratory event open to the public which will take place the 23rd of May a the Muse of Trento in the presence of all the athletes who have made the history of the brand and all its collaborators.
The store opened on the 1st of March, while the official opening is scheduled for the 11th and 12th o May, during the SciaccheTrail weekend (25th of March) the store will host the arrival in Liguria of ultra runner Anton Krupicka.
