La Sportiva Mountain Running series: an episode tells the story of Dolomites SkyRace

La Sportiva Mountain Running Web Serie goes ahead in a new and exciting second episode, just before the 19th edition of the Dolomites Skyrace. Athletes and product developers tell us what it means to run the "Queen" of the alpine skyraraces.

There are some outdoor stories that cannot be described through a simple press release but deserve to be narrated with due care and attention. This is the case of La Sportiva’s “Mountain Running” collection that includes technical footwear and clothing for mountain running in all its forms (sky, trail, vertical).

After the first episode, an exclusive behind-the-scenes special of La Sportiva’s Research and Development labs in Ziano di Fiemme discovering how a mountain running shoe is developed and prototyped, we go ahead in this Web Series trying to understand how this specific sport takes place in the heart of the Dolomites.

Running its 19th edition, Dolomites Skyrace is one of the most important and symbolic races all around the Europe: technical and really hard, is goal and landmark for all the mountain lovers: because if trail running is "more than running", Dolomites is certainly "more than a race".

Thanks to its 22 km path (10 km uphill, 12 km downhill) which changes from earth to gravel, and thanks even to its 3.152 mt of maximum height of Piz Boè. Thanks to the surrounding landscape of white rocks, UNESCO World Heritage, that makes the runners feel like they're running on the moon...
