The partnership between the company from Ziano di Fiemme and the hardest and most entertaining obstacle race of the moment, which will take place in Rovereto on September 16 in its 20km "Original" version, has been officially formalized.
There are less than two months to the 16th of September when Rovereto will host for the sixth time Fisherman's Friend StrongmanRun "The Original", the obstacle race organized by RCS Sport - RCS Active Team and which will see La Sportiva as technical partner for the first time.
The company from Ziano di Fiemme thus confirms its interest and desire to promote its territory also through the support of new and dynamic events and with a more fun character, designed for all race enthusiasts. "It's the first time La Sportiva enters the world of fun-races, featuring obstacle races dedicated to a very varied audience made up of enthusiasts of all kinds, be it on road, off-road or on track," states Luca Mich marketing and communication manager for the company - These competitions create communities and spread values such as aggregation and entertainment related to sporting practice, while maintaining the highest degree of competitiveness and technicality, which is why they are the perfect choice for a brand like La Sportiva.
Originating in Germany in 2007, this very successful format today offers running enthusiasts, a unique and unusual race, inviting participants to race over sixteen different but equally demanding types of obstacles.
In addition to having trained muscles and lungs, another prerequisite to participate in the event is the desire to have fun. Runners can actually show up at the starting line in the most bizarre fancy dress costumes, to enjoy an exciting day in which the important thing is not winning but taking part.
In Italy, over the past six years , the Fisherman's Friend StrongmanRun has involved a total of approximately 56,000 participants, with a peak of 7500 enrolments in the three stages of 2016 76% of which men and 24% women, from 40 different countries and 19 Italian regions. The first stage in 2017, held last May in Bibione, registered over 2000 participants.
These are promising numbers for the next Strongman adventure that introduces a completely different route from that of last year and many new obstacles, including the passage in the river Adige, all perfectly designed so that in 2017 this race can prove once again to be the not-to-be- missed, adrenaline appointment for those who want put themselves to the test beyond racing. Awaiting the participants, there will be also a 3x6 meters vertical obstacle dedicated to the La Sportiva brand. A cool and highly effective way to increase the level of difficulty and introduce the concept of verticality that characterizes the world of La Sportiva.
Another novelty this year is the official event t-shirt signed La Sportiva, which will be delivered to all local Ambassador Strongmen, currently involved in the creation of several regional teams and in organizing training sessions designed to prepare teams for Italy's most famous obstacle race.
