JAMES PEARSON

DATE OF BIRTH: 1985
NATIONALITY: GRAN BRETAGNA

Bio

James was born in England and is a traditional British climber, born and raised in the Peak District. At the age of 19 he is one of the brightest talents in all of England and his undisputed affinity with the rock encourages him to travel in search of more difficult lines to climb. His ascents of "The Groove" and "The Walk Of Life", two of the most technical climbs in the world, acquaint him with the world of traditional climbing.
Despite his talent he chooses to work on his weaknesses, including free climbing. He dedicates himself to long and intense workout sessions, but he is soon rewarded for his efforts. In April 2011 he makes the first "ground ascent" of an E10 called "Muy Caliente". In 2012 he climbs his first 9a, "Escalatamaster" at Perles, Spain. His dreams for the future are to reach unknown peaks and push towards the boundaries of traditional climbing, which in recent years he has managed to do in Zambrocal and in Borneo.
