Furthermore, EVA Injected midsole drastically reduce the “squash” effect of the EVA over time, allowing the product to mantain the same features for its entire duration.

The La Sportiva Mountain Running® footwear adopts 3 different kind of midsoles depending on the style and on the needed performances

La Sportiva

The Mountain Running collection models adopt the exclusive La Sportiva insoles by Ortholite, with 2 different thickness. Both models are available in men and women version and differs for the materials’ densities.

+ Breathable for a cooler foot.
+ The unique open cell structure creates a moisture management system.
+ Long term cushioning: insole will retain over 95% of its thickness over time and won’t flatten out.

I like these shoes a lot. First off they're really comfy, take the impact out of running & this means means happy knees/ankles/hips, (& that the small Morton's neuroma in my foot doesn't get aggravated). They're hybrid, good for a mix of tarmac and off road, the soles don't disappear after only a few miles of asphalt like most strictly off-road shoes. They're light, flexible, stable and feel quite minimal, (I've come out the other end of a fifteen year barefoot shoe phase). I normally have toe-box problems with most running shoes as my toes like to splay quite wide but these are ok, just roomy enough, (could be wider tho'!) I like the red/salmon & turquoise blue colours, pretty. You DO need to be careful where you put your feet off road as there's no protection plate and if the edge of a rock hits hard between the transverse lugs, it can hurt. But I'm used to minimal footwear and being careful. In certain wet conditions (roots/stones, etc) the grip doesn't work very well. But in my experience every pair of shoes has strengths and weaknesses and you learn to live with them. For me, a middle aged guy who runs 10-20k a few times a week on a mix of tarmac and off road, (preferably off-road but sometimes you need to use roads to connect the areas), who runs predominantly in dry conditions, who is happy to have a little extra comfort and who enjoys the view every time I look down, these shoes tick a lot of boxes. I'm happy enough that after owning a pair for 6 months I've have just ordered another pair, so that's as good a recommendation as you'll get.
