Born and raised in the mountains of the Aosta Valley, he has always practiced hard sports; he started with his mountain bike when he was very young and then went to ski muntaineering and mountain running first as a skyrunner and then as a long distance trailer; for more than ten years in the LaSpoTeam he has achieved excellent positions in high-level skyraces as a podium in the Italian relay championship and has won several long races among which the Mammut Trail stands out then the Erbaluce Night Trail paired with his national mountain running friend Erik Rosaire; several placements also over long distances such as a second place at the Collon Trek and third at the Electric Trail and second likewise with Dawa Sherpa at Monte Casto. His goals are many and he will surely give his best to achieve them. His life is not just a race, he works as a professional firefighter in Aosta and together with his partner Martina they have two children named Cedric and Celine, in first place in his life.

Interview

1) Which is your favorite place for running?
My Aosta Valley.
2) Which is your specialization?
Skyrunning and Trail of 50 km, I love vertical but my strong point is the descent ...!
3) Do you have a pre-race routine?
I learned a lot from my friends Bruno Brunod and Jean Pellissier, before the races we never had a routine ... always late, put on the bib and go!
4) When and why did you start running?
I started running in 2001 after some disappointments in cycling; I have been cycling since 1996, I raced both in MTB and on the road, getting great satisfactions but at a certain point I ran into a world that I no longer recognized. I decided to buy a pair of running shoes and immediately signed up for a skyrace; that day I fought with Bruno (Brunod ...) and I ended up at the foot of the podium ... in the following race I detached him downhill finishing second overall. From that day I literally changed sport and found a good friend!
5) Which are your La Sportiva favorite shoes?
My favorite shoes are undoubtedly the new Kaptiva, a concentrate of technology where I find the sum of the many tips given to us Ambassadors over the years.
6) What's in the air?
Soon I would like to return competitive on my 50 km distances. My children Cedric and Celine happily absorbed me time and energy in their early life; they are giving me back everything with their beautiful smiles and I plan to go back to racing much stronger than before.
