Corrado 'Korra' Pesce recently made the headlines for his dramatic repetitions of “No Siesta” and “Demasion” on the north face of the Grandes Jorasses, but also for his repetition of the route “Ragni” on Cerro Torre, in Patagonia “ Aguja Standhardt” traverse - Punta Herron. Born in Novara in 1981, Korra has been living in Chamonix since 2004. Pesce is one of the most active climbers in the Mont Blanc massif. He started climbing in Piedmont, when he was 18 and fell in love with the mountains while working at Capanna Margherita and Rifugio Torino.
Jeff Mercier was one of the climbers who most influenced his mountaineering, together they have climbed many routes, always preferring to free climb on routes such as “Omega” on Petit Jorasses, the “North face” of the Dru in winter, “No Siesta”, etc. His numerous ascents in Mont Blanc include solitary routes such as “Jackson sulla Droite” with descent on the “Ginat route”, all in time to be able to collect his daughter from kindergarten ... In Canada he solo climbed classics like “Polar Circus”, “Suffer Machine”, “Ice Nine”, “Lower Weeping Wall”, and with different partners he has climbed routes like “Sea of ??Vapors”, “Curtain Call”, “Terminator”, etc. He has also climbed many classic routes like the North face of the Eiger, the North face of the Matterhorn, the Colton-McIntyre, “Divine Providence” and the “Pillar of Freney”.
