Shoes comparison

To simplify comparison and achieve the correct choice of the shoe,
La Sportiva has developed an info-graphic which summarises the main features.
Sensitivity
This feature is common to less structured shoes such as climbing slippers, whose softer sole allows the climber to “feel” the rock beneath his feet, while adapting to different types of hold. On a scale from one to fi ve, these register superior adaptability/sensitivity.

Rigidity
A feature common to more structured shoes. With their rigid sole, they are capable of supporting the climber’s weight but adapt less to the different rock types. On a scale of one to fi ve, the graph indicates superior rigidity/support.

Instep width
On a scale from one to five, these are the growing widths for each model.

Ideal size
With this parameter we show how tightly the shoe needs to be worn in order to maintain its performance features. The grades range from 1 to 5: from shoes that must be worn smaller (grade 1) to those that can be worn more “comfortably” (grade 5) to maintain their performance level.

No-edge

The patented No-Edge Technology has been developed along three distinct features:
sensitivity, homogeneous pressure and adaptability.
La Sportiva

Women's climbing

La Sportiva’s climbing shoes for women differ from their male counterparts both in looks and technical features,
making them more appropriate for the female foot.
They have a slightly different shape and are less rigid than the men’s version.
