G5 Evo is the ultra-technical, water repellent boot for high altitude mountaineering, ice climbing and use in cold environments. Quick and easy to pull on thanks to the lower lacing with BOA® Fit System placed outside of the gaiter to allow for safe closure with gloves and does not require the opening of the zipper. The Velcro Power Strap on the upper part of the shell, allows for a safe and precise closure and in combination with the adjustable cuff prevents the entrance of snow and ice. Like all products in the La Sportiva high-mountain range, G5 Evo is equipped with quick drying materials that promote prolonged use. Maximum protection from atmospheric agents thanks to the water repellent gaiter with heat-sealed zipper and internal thermo-taping with innovative UltraSonic Welding technology that allows the materials to be joined together without stictching, increasing water-repellency. Volumes and weights are reduced to a minimum: the protective rand is made from super-lightweight, abrasion resistant PU TechLite™ while the midsole uses honey-comb tech 3 mm insulating carbon. Thermal properties are accentuated by the GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ THERMIUM™ Insulation Technology that wraps around the shell at the front, including the midsole: It keeps your feet notably warmer than traditional insulation materials without increasing boot volume, weight or restricting mobility. G5 EVO combines the thermal insulation features of a double-shell boot with the lightweight and contained volumes of a single-shell boot. Gimme Five, G5.
