Epic Ski Tour: the two-day event dedicated to skialp by La Sportiva, returns to Val di Fiemme

The La Sportiva Epic Ski Tour returns with two dates not to be missed,  the 22nd and 23rd of February: two days dedicated to sports enthusiast, and which this year allows ski enthusiasts to meet the great champions of skialp on breathtaking tracks within reach of all.

Lots of novelties are in store for the 2019 edition announces the organizing committee led by Kurt Anrather, starting from the number of stages that goes down to two and the insertion of a brand new track that runs through the Paneveggio National Park. Another important novelty is the free excursion open to all beginners on the morning of Friday the 22nd of February, which gives participants the opportunity of trying some of La Sportiva’s technical gear.

The traditional night challenge on the Alpe Cermis will bring the third edition of the race to an official close, just  a month after the Tour de Ski that brought the strongest cross-country skiers in the world to challenge each other on these difficult slopes, better known for downhill skiing rather than uphill climbing.

The second stage will move the event to Bellamonte, where competitors will begin the 12.3 km track through the Paneveggio National Park, all the way to Cima Lastè, descending downhill towards  Rifugio di Passo Lusia for a first change of skins, and then, after a second change of skins, a climb towards the Campo-Lastè chairlift.  One last off-piste descent and then a short surge to the finishing line in Morea.

The participation fee of  79 euro includes a specially labelled Epic Ski tour,  technical UYN Base Layer of the same commercial value, while the prize money totals 18,000 euro, reserved for the top ten men athletes and the first five female athletes to cross the finishing line (since competing in minor number).
