La Sportiva presents  “Stratos”: the latest boot dedicated to the world of ski mountaineering that adopts a number of innovative, patent-protected, technical solutions. 

Objective: to provide a ski mountaineering boot which requires no post-sales service to enhance the lightweight properties and improve performance. The 100% carbon outer boot  in   “3K TWILL” is molded using aeronautical technology and weighs only  490 grams (half pair size 26).

Lightweight for ascents, maximum control for the descent, ultimate stability on switchbacks, ample freedom of movement around the ankle, comfortable to walk in as well as to ski.  These were the initial project objectives we set out to accomplish. Challenge met! 

The inner boot, with its patented heel hinge lacing system will be available in two different versions:  “race” and “race plus”,   178 grams and 148 grams respectively (half pair size 26).

Stratos will be available in 24 - 29 sizes (mondo point R1 - only full sizes). The inner boot will be available in 24 - 29 sizes (half sizes included).
Technical note: Stratos is 17 mm shorter than average lenght of the competitor's boots.
Example: Stratos size 27 = 284 mm - Others: size 27 = 301 mm
