Konitsa (Grecia), 27 May
First Bouldering World Cup 2000

The first event of the series takes place in Konitsa, Greece, a small town placed in the north of the peninsula, about 50 kilometres from the border with Montenegro, a community with a big concentration of people fond of mountaineering and climbing.
Congratulation, therefore for the event organizers, who have taken the burden of an international competition, and managed to do their job in the best way, in spite of the relevant logistical difficulties, caused by the lack of experience. To notice the remarkable result of the 1999 World Cup Winner Christian Core, who takes a third place that lets hope a good continuation of the season. It was a pity that some of the best climbers didn't attend, especially because of the geographic location of Konitsa. Very high quality, nevertheless, of the show offered to the several spectators. .
