 Until
yesterday we had only a difficulty World Cup, with on-sight routes.
Trials were made, more or less successful, during important events, in
World and European Championships, with worked routes or Duel.
Today, ten years after the first Climbing World Cup, the Bouldering World
Cup begins ufficially.
Last year the Top Rock had been a kind of general trial of this year
circuit.
In Spain the 34 year-old Patxi Arocena, until last year a competitor in
the Spanish team, was the route setter. Unfortunately, the distance and
the financial problems of the federations, and the full competition
calendar, have limited the number of the partecipants, about 50.
Nevertheless, there were many spectators and a good organisation.
