The prestigious
meeting in the Briançon area has almost reached the ten year age, but continues to be
very healthy and this is confirmed by the 7.000 people present on the final Saturday
evening. The event starts with the Open qualifications on Friday morning, to which 95
athlets partecipate, on three different routes, two for the men and one for the women.
Lella, Giupponi, Ghidini and Marchisio continue to the next round. On the next day during
the semifinal Core and Brenna are respectively 5° and 7°, excluded for one place, Lella
and Giupponi are 14°. Zardini 19°, Ghidini 20°. |

Also Luisa Iovane is
able, with great determination, to reach the women's final. Twelve men and eight women
confrontate during the "worked" final, a route that they have tried for 30' on
Saturday morning, 8b/c for the men and 8a/b for the women. Another time the winner is
François Legrand, also without completing the route. Behind him Dewilde and Caude. For
the Italian another delusion, with Core fourth and Brenna eleventh. In the women's field
first place for Muriel Sarkany, Liv Sansoz second, Venera Tcherechneva third, Luisa Iovane
seventh.. |
