Solution:  2007 IF design award’s winner!

Hanover’s International Forum Design has been conferring prestigious awards since 1954 to firms which distinguish themselves globally in the manufacturing of products with an innovative design and quality. Annually, a jury of famous international designers, awards a prize for achievements which stand out for their particular aesthetic/functional characteristics as part of a number of merchandise categories. The main criteria used to evaluate are: the quality and the universality of the design, the degree of innovation, functionality, choice of materials, safety and brand value. These are all aspects that a product needs to be able to satisfy in order to compete in its own category for the IF   Design Award.

It is with great satisfaction that La Sportiva is proud to announce that its model Solution, the innovative climbing shoe made specifically for bouldering, won the 2007 IF Design Award in the leisure/lifestyle category, before its launch on the market. A recognition which rewards our designers’ constant efforts, in their continuous research for new solutions to satisfy climbing and mountain lovers in general.
 
The International Forum jury recognised in the Solution model, its original design and the effective degree of innovation which it carries into the world of climbing shoes. Among the innovative technology of the shoe are the three elements that stand out to guarantee superior performance for the wearer.

1. Uppers with the Lock Harness System technology, a foot system with an internal foot band,  which together with the special shell construction on the heel, allows maximum foot mobility in heel hooks and foot-under clings.
2. Border system P3 (Permanent Power Platform): active part of the shoe’s functioning, works together with the insole distributing and maintaining constant tension through time, avoiding deformation due to over-use.
3. Patented lacing up system Fast Lacing System: with a particular cross-over of a single lace which allows for quick tightening, wrapping the foot as efficiently as double velcro. Together with the shoe tongue made in elasticised fabric, it allows for great adjustability of the internal volume. 

P3 and the Fast Lacing System in particular, contribute not only to the functionality of the product, but also define its aggressive and modern appearance.
